Yes, our caretaker, Esteban, will meet you at the front gate. We ask that you notify us by WhatsApp when you are passing through Guatape or San Rafael (if approaching from San Rafael-most guests approach the reserve by first passing through Guatape). When you arrive at the gate, please press the doorbell, and Esteban will come to open the gate. You will then be escorted down a series of well-defined steps to the home by the river-about a 7-minute walk.

Some basic supplies, like beer, arepas, eggs, etc., are available at the store at the bridge in vereda Bizcocho. Sometimes on weekends just down the road from the reserve, a little tienda in vereda Camas opens up for a beer and minor essentials. San Rafael, 10 km from the reserve, has all the food supplies, restaurants, and anything you should need for your stay. We suggest you do all your food shopping before coming to the reserve for your intended stay.

Our next-door neighbor provides moto taxi service to and from San Rafael and is usually just a phone call away. It is, however, best to have your own transportation and a vehicle with high clearance for the unpaved portion of the road.
